This tour offers a wonderful range of experiences on both land and water, providing a unique insight into the lives of the locals. You will take part in bicycling tours and boat rides, see the famous floating markets, meet and stay with local villagers, and enjoy traditional regional delicacies along the way!

Itinerary

Day 1: My Tho - Ben Tre
- 7AM: the car will come to your hotel and pick you up, and then head to My Tho (2 hours drive)
- Take a boat trip (3 hours) around to visit coconut candy mill, fruit gardens, snake farm, bee farm, and taste honey tea and tropical fruits.
- Take a bicycle trip (2 hours) on one islet inside the village along small roads shadowed by coconut and banana trees. Stop to see some locals working along the way and learn about these tropical trees.

- Then row a sampan through the small canals.

Option: If you do not wish to ride a bike, you can instead choose to trek (1 to 2 hours) OR take a horse carriage ride (20 minutes).

- 6PM you will arrive at Vinh Long and have dinner at a local house
- 7.30PM you will walk along the river OR take a boat to watch the fireflies at night.
- After this, retire for the night at the host family at night.

Day 2: Vinh Long (Off the beaten track)
- Visit the floating market village by boat in the early morning and see how the people there live and trade, enjoying an unforgettable breakfast.
- Then the boat takes us around the village to view some traditional local industries such as the brick factory, dried-longan workshop, and pay a visit to a local temple and participate in making Vietnamese rice papers at a local house.
- Head back to our host family and join in making lunch (spring roll).
- After this, you will take a walk through the village.
- 4PM: Take a boat ride to Can Tho, arriving at 6PM and checking into your hotel, then an evening of free time.

Day 3: Can Tho - Soc Trang
- Take a boat trip (5 hours) to see Cai Rang Floating Market and see how to make local products such as rice wine and chopsticks at local houses; then try crossing the monkey bridge.
- Continue with a slow boat trip in small beautiful canals lined with fruit trees.
- Have a break for lunch, and then a car will take you to Soc Trang, where you will visit Bat Pagoda, Khomer Museum, and the Clay Pagoda before heading back to Can Tho (arriving at 5PM).
- 7PM: take a floating restaurant tour along the Hau River

Day 4: Can Tho - Dong Thap - Sai Gon
- 8AM: Check out of the hotel, then take a car to Dong Thap.
- 10AM: Arrive at Dong Thap and take a rowing boat to see the Cajuput Forest
- 12PM: Enjoy lunch, and then take the car back to Saigon, arriving at 5PM.
